WHITE HORSE HARRIERS TRAINING
The main club training sessions are as follows :

TUESDAYS7PM
TILSLEY PARK,  ABINGDON

The Tuesday session is a track session, usually under the supervision of Club Coach, Tom King.
Phone Tom for details on 01235 834873.

THURSDAYS     7PM
WANTAGE LEISURE CENTRE

This session for young athletes (ages 11 upwards) is split with the younger athletes training on the grass field in front of leisure centre, and older athletes running runing hill repetitions at Wantage Park. These sessions are also supervised by the club coaches. For senior athletes there is the option of longer run, typically an hour. This is by necessity round the road in Winter. In summer the route is varied and may take in a section on the ridgeway. Contact either the club Chairman, Gareth Smith on 01235 767538 or the Road Running Secretary, Dene Stringfellow on 01235 868111 or by email.

There is a separate training session for the youngest athletes (ages 8-11) earlier on a Thursday. Contact one of the club coaches or officials for details.

Please note that parking restrictions in Wantage Leisure Centre mean that we have to ask those who arrive by car (other than just to drop off or pick up) to park elsewhere.

Owing to the success in attracting younger athletes, yet the difficulty of finding sufficient coaches, please note that we have had to introduce a waiting list of athletes of primary school age. Please telephone one of the contacts above for more information.

SUNDAYS                10AM
VARIOUS VENUES

To add variety the Sunday training run starts at different places. Favourites include Wantage Leisure Centre and the Ridgeway Centre. We have recently (summer 2007) restarted a Sunday morning session, to be followed by a social gathering - maybe a drink somewhere. Sunday competitions mean that there is not always a run, but there usually is. Again, contact the Road Running Secretary, Dene Stringfellow on 01235 868111 or by email.
